Andres, the lead on the Recession Nation Project, has been hounding me for weeks to do one simple thing: participate. I always said I was just waiting to submit the right thing, which may or may not have been a cover for being lazy. Anyways, here’s my picture of my roommate Sam cleaning the kitchen with his cellphone jammed into his bike helmet as an improvised bluetooth headset.

I love this photo. Our makeshift kitchen, the blue-collar plaid on the ceiling and in Sam’s shirt, his mismatched socks, and the literal “head set” is all great.

I’m usually my own worst critic, honest.
