Photos were etched into Masonite board and then scanned with a 3D scanner. The resulting scan data was stretched vertically creating extreme peaks and troughs. This resulting 3D model was used as a depth map and etched into clear acrylic. These acrylic pieces were placed on LCD monitors while a red colored fly-through of the 3D model played underneath. The piece was installed on the floor of a sealed room where the only light source was the looping video.
