Tetris Keychain

The tradition of Omiyage is an important one in Japanese work culture. Before leaving for a year of teaching on the JET program I prepared Tetris keychains as a gift with a personal touch for my teachers and coworkers. I had so many left over that I had students at the taiko dojo I attended pick pieces and make their own.


The pieces were laser cut out of 1/4” plexiglass sheets on a 12 watt CO2 laser. The first pass of the gradient boxes was done in raster mode, with the line delineation and final cutouts done in vector. If you’d like to use my template, you can download it here:
